The Way I Manage My Projects with brightpod
We start our daily routine at 9:00 am. We work from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and most of our work and meetings are done online. My clients are based in Mexico, US and Latin America and I get in touch with them through email, Skype or Brightpod on a daily basis.
We schedule our social media posts on several networks once a week so we only take like 15 minutes in the morning, 15 at noon and 5 minutes at night each day to engage and respond to inquiries that may arise. While working on projects, we do not have any social media channels open so as to help us focus on most important things. While working on social media management projects for clients, we focus on the research, content curation, automation and schedule time for engagement and replies.
We tend to take a 15 minute break every 2 hours or as needed to strech and get some fresh air. Since we work from home we can take a walk in the garden, have some sun and enjoy those precious moments in a quiet city. Music is vital for me, so, I would put some music while working on tasks that do not require too much concentration. I would rather listen to jazz and classical music. That allows me to work better.
I usually wake up at 6:30 am and have a cup of warm water and fresh lemon juice. Then I start my workout routine mixing cardio and weigh lifting for a mental boost and to increase my energy. I have a cup of coffee and breakfast and get ready to work. As I work at home, I have this routine established and I head to my office and start working on the daily tasks I had previously scheduled. I catch up with clients and follow up with anything pending on my projects.
At noon I make an hour break to take some rest. I try to have a nap but can never fall asleep. I then have meal at home with my daughter and continue working until 6:00 PM. I try to get to bed at 10:00 pm and currently I am trying hard to disconnect from any device I have to give my mind some rest.
1. I need to have my workplace clean and in order (no clutter at all). Fortunately I don´t like messy places and almost never have may things on my desk – only my iPad, iPhone, the air conditioner control and a cup of coffee.
2. I make a to do list of 3-5 things I must accomplish in the day and would start with the most important/difficult/ ones.
3. I use online productivity tools that speed up my work. I cannot live without my Evernote, Dropbox, Drive, Buffer, Brightpod and Skype.
I currently have 3 projects on Brightpod. I have my own business projects on it as well as a couple of my client’s businesses. My client´s projects are related to Social Media Management and Online Marketing Optimization. Unfortunately I had found few of my clients are still afraid of technology, and it has been difficult to continue using the tool with them. With clients that happen to be online business owners like Health and Money Coaches it has been a sweet dream as we can work effectively knowing what is the next project/task we will be working on.
Before Brightpod I used Zoho Projects and a few other project management tools.[I cannot even remember their names now!] Those tools were not user friendly and I found myself easily distracted and frustrated. I read many blogs from experts and in one of them I found out about Brightpod. As an early adopter, I immediately put my eyes on it, and start figuring out how to use it.
No, not as of now.
It was very quicky to learn. I guess I jumped on Brightpod only twice in one week and after that I had a clear idea about how it worked and how awesome it was to manage mine and my client´s projects.
My favorite feature is being able to reply to my client´s comments from my iPhone and having all the discussions stored in Brightpod. No more email overload.
I would feel so sad and lost.
I love your product and love each time some of your faces pop up on the screen, informing me about news and updates or just simply to catch up with us. I have the feeling that I already know you and we work in the same place. Thanks for improving my work-life and for giving us the means to be more productive!
I am passionate about educating my clients on the digital tools that make their lifes easier both online and offline and tools like Brightpod is one of the best tools I had ever tried and would highly recommend it to everyone.
